The Camera Company and Tamron welcome you to take part in our expedition to Wisconsin's wildest zoo.
Join us for an engaging wildlife photography seminar where we explore the tools and techniques needed to create compelling images of the natural world. We'll cover how to get the most out of your camera settings in the field, the importance of researching animal behavior and habitats, and learn how to build thoughtful compositions that go beyond snapshots. Whether you're photographing birds, mammals, or insects, this class will help elevate your approach and results.
Session 1 – Classroom Instruction with Erica Robinson from Tamron
When: Friday, September 26, from 6:00 - 7:30 PM
Where: The Camera Company - 6742 Odana Rd.
Build a solid foundation in wildlife photography, covering gear essentials, camera settings, composition tips, and best practices for capturing wildlife.
Session 2 – In the Field at Shalom Wildlife Sanctuary
When: Saturday, September 27, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Where: Shalom Wildlife Sanctuary at 1901 Shalom Drive in West Bend, Wisconsin.
Put the skills you’ve learned from the Friday night class into practice, and get some great pictures at our outing to Shalom Wildlife Sanctuary.
Session 3 – On line Critiquing Session
When: Tuesday, September 30, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM
Where: Virtual - Zoom information will be shared with registered students
Choose your favorite photos or ones you want help in diagnosing what went wrong, and we’ll review them online. You will receive instructions on how to submit your photos during the class.
Tamron will have lenses on hand, ready to loan out to participants. The Shalom Wildlife Sanctuary is set up for people to have good views of the animals to get fantastic photos.
Home to 75 species and more than 750 animals. Shalom offers a unique twist from a typical zoo experience. Many animal residents have large natural habitats, which gives you an atmosphere more like a park. There are over four miles of roads, and you can interact with some of the animals.
Transportation to the events will not be provided
Cost $149 (plus Eventbrite feeds)

Meet Your Instructor:
Erica Robinson (Tamron Technical Representative) has 14 years of photography experience and a degree in the Arts. Erica has worked as a wedding photographer in Boston, a cruise-line photographer, and provided technical knowledge through a local camera store. Becoming a proficient world traveler, she focuses on travel photography and storytelling, providing education through workshops and inspiring others to accomplish their photography goals.

Minimum Registration
Camera Company classes need a minimum number of students to register before we can hold the class. If the minimum registration has not occurred within two days before the class date it will be cancelled. All students who enrolled in the class will be notified by email and will be offered to transfer their registration to another class offering or issued a full refund.
