Scott Kelby's Woldwide Photowalk - FREE EVENT

On the first Saturday of October each year, photographers and enthusiasts around the world get out their cameras and meet up at a designated location in their town to walk around and take photographs, socialize, make new friends, win prizes and be a part of a great cause during Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photowalk®. This year is particularly special because it marks the 10th Anniversary of the Worldwide Photowalk® so we want to make it the largest yet! No matter what continent you are on, where you are in your photography journey or what type of camera or phone you use, you can take part in this year’s event! So join us October 07, 2017 for this years walk.

Meet up with John B. McComb and Dave Fiala at The Camera Company at 25 North Carroll at 8:45 am. After a short briefing, we will start the walk. Our walk will include the outside and inside of the Wisconsin State Capital grounds and building.  I have a permit from The Capitol Police for this Photo Walk so we will have no problem entering the Capitol.  We will also photograph the many street scenes and buildings as we walk around the Capitol Square.

We will have a couple staff members from The Camera Company along so we will be able to help everyone with tips and answer any questions about the operation of your camera.  We recommend wide-angle lenses if you have them.  The 18-55 kit lenses will work just great on this outing.

It will be a good idea to bring your tripod, or monopod if you have one. A flash might be helpful in some instances but is entirely optional.

We will end at The Great Dane pub where you will be able to purchase a refreshment or have lunch. This will also provide a chance for us to share photos and stories.
