Stretcher frame sizes

Prints on the ¾” inch deep stretcher frame are suitable for inserting in a frame or hanging without a frame. Prints on the 1 ¼” deep stretcher frame are meant to be hung without a traditional frame and the finished product is also referred to as a ‘Gallery Wrap’.

Canvas Types

Gallery Wrap

Gallery Wrap is our most popular canvas selection -- perhaps because it offers a clean, elegant look that pops off the wall. Ready to hang, there is no need to frame with this style of canvas. The finished canvas face will have an image that is slightly cropped since some of the image must be devoted to the to the edge wrap. The canvas stretcher frame is 1 ¼” thick.

Standard Wrap

Stretched canvas is the perfect selection anytime you plan to enhance your canvas print with a traditional frame. The canvas stretcher frame is 7/16" thick and fits easily into most traditional decorative frames. There is no need for a mat or glass with this style of canvas.

Gallery Wrap - Color Border

Gallery Wrap with a Color Border may be the right canvas selection if you have a hard-to-crop image. Simply add a color background to your image which will act as a custom-sized "faux" mat that ultimately stretches over the sides of the frame. Choose any color you like or we can select a color from within the image itself. This a clever way to incorporate the hues of your canvas print into the overall color scheme of a desired room.
